This is a meeting place for lovers of Spoodles (also known as Cockapoos) to discuss these wonderful dogs. Information, experiences, stories and questions are welcomed from everyone - owners, breeders and owners-to-be. We also welcome contribitions regarding other hybrids, too - Labradoodles, Goldendoodles (Groodles), Maltepoos (Moodles), Schnoodles, Cavoodles, Puggles, Spanadors etc., or any other dog - we love them all!
Please note, however, that hateful, inflammatory and slanderous posts are most definitely unwelcome, and will be deleted immediately. No advertisements, please.
Our "Dog of the Week" is Baxter!
"Baxter is a red and white Cockapoo, who arrived at 8 weeks old two years ago on the Easter weekend . We had recently lost our 14 year old four-legged friend, Bobo, and Baxter was our first venture into puppies and cockapoos. He did not disappoint! My husband, two kids, and I all love him dearly, and he is definitely part of the family. He goes on most vacations with us, and LOVES to ride in the car (though he barks at 18-wheelers). If he hears one of us say anything about going anywhere, he jumps up and down and runs for the door, like “I wanna go!”. Last summer we adopted a stray Maltepoo named Marshall, and although they have yet to figure out who’s boss, they are fast friends and playmates." - Baxter’s Mom, Tennessee, USA

We have a 4 month old puppy who has a flat coat and resembles her dad (the cocker). She is not getting much of a beard and is shedding a TON. Will her beard eventually come in? When does the shedding of the puppy coat complete?
Hi, I'm looking for a bit of guidance. We recently adopted a 4 year old spoodle and his hair is now getting very long. We're torn between whether it's best to keep it long so he's warm in winter or whether we should cut it short. We have had it trimmed away from his eyes but the rest of it is very long so he's looking ... more

Poor old Noodle!! For the last couple of months we've been brushing and combing her loads, fighting her new super-knotty coat!! i found a beautiful girl cockapoo that i absolutely love and want to adopt. however, her coat is straight -- more like that of a cockerspaniel -- and i'm worried that she will shed too much. i looked up cockapoo information online and most websites seem to indicate that cockapoos shed very little to not at all. ... more

I've been training for well over a month now for a fitness test I must take. And though I've been working very hard at it, I always felt guilty hitting the trail for my run without my pup. This was the case until I saw another runner with his lab, on a leash, with the leash attached to a belt around the man's waist. ... more
